    Legalities of Fashion: American Apparel's Fight For Illegal Immigrants

    While in the Los Angeles Fashion District today, I pick up local paper LA Garment & Citizen. In letters to the editor, there were hot opinions on a video produced by Spot.Us. The video, Icing American Apparel, is a short documentary about the impact of government regulations on undocumented residents.

    The video looks at the lives and legalities behind the federal immigration agency's recent order for the Downtown-based garment manufacturer to fire 1,600 workers.

    We think of the glamour of our industry and money that consumers bring, but not everything is so pretty.
